Accounts Receivable Specialist (Surgery Center)
Summary of Position
The Business Office Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist plays a crucial role in managing outstanding accounts receivable exceeding 90 days. They are responsible for investigating and resolving outstanding AR balances by utilizing various resources such as payer websites, clearinghouses, phone communication, and payer portals. The specialist must possess a comprehensive understanding of claim resolution processes and be adept at providing detailed trend analysis. This role primarily focuses on surgical procedures and requires proactive identification of process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting
- Strong understanding of claim resolution processes and reimbursement methodologies
- Previous experience, a minimum of 3 years in accounts receivable management or healthcare billing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
