Position Overview:
Coastal Pools is looking for an HR Generalist with a strong background in recruitment to join our team. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, employee development, and HR operations. Experience in the pool industry is not required, but a passion for people and process improvement is essential.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, and pre-screening.
- Assist hiring managers in developing custom job descriptions tailored to the needs of Coastal Pools.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a smooth recruitment process.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Employee Relations & HR Operations:
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Monitor employee morale and company culture.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
Training & Development:
- Assist department heads in the design and implementation of field-level career advancement and training programs to support employee growth.
HR Strategy & Compliance:
- Support the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with Coastal Pools’ goals.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Proven ability to create custom job descriptions and manage the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Experience in designing and implementing training and career development programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- At least one year of human resource experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
- Experience in the pool industry is not required.
- Bilingual Englis/Spanish is a plus.
