About This Role: Coastline Academy is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing company. This individual will work remotely and be working under the direction of our accounting manager and CFO. You will play a key role in contributing to monthly closes, payroll accounting, P&L, budgeting, and implementing new processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for assisting with monthly closes
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Responsible for maintaining discretion with confidential information
- Create controls and assist with audits
Preferred Experience:
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of recent and relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Knowledge of financial systems such as QuickBooks and Sage
- Knowledge of payroll accounting
- Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Extraordinary analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
