I am currently partnered with a firm who specialize in connecting global investors with fund managers in alternative asset classes, including real estate, private equity, credit, and infrastructure.
Due to internal growth, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director of Sales to lead the capital raising efforts for the financial advisory firm. The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in driving sales strategy, building and maintaining investor relationships, and overseeing the execution of fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve capital-raising targets across multiple asset classes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales goals with the firm’s broader strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain a network of institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to investors, providing insights into market opportunities and trends.
- Lead fundraising efforts by connecting fund managers with potential investors globally.
- Oversee the preparation of marketing materials, presentations, and due diligence processes to support capital-raising activities.
- Negotiate terms and agreements to secure commitments from investors.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to ensure individual and team success.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and investor preferences to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide thought leadership and represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in capital raising, sales, or investor relations within financial services, with a strong focus on alternative assets.
- Established relationships with institutional investors and a proven track record of securing significant capital commitments.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial products and markets.
Salary : $500,000 - $600,000
