Accounts Payable Specialist

Cobblestone Fruit seeks to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Accounting Team. This position will fill a key role in the invoice coding and payment process.

Duties/ Responsibilities

·      Review and process Farm Labor Contractor billing

·      Responsible for company credit card, ensuring all transactions have attached receipts and approval from credit card holders

·      Maintain accurate and current vendor account information

·      Organize and code invoices for 10 entities

·      Process vendor payments weekly, and as needed throughout the week

·      Maintain filing of paid invoices for document retention

·      Ensure proper sales tax is charged by vendors

·      Match invoices with appropriate backup

·      Obtain proper approvals

·      Review vendor statements

·      Prepare credit applications as needed

·      Respond to emails and payment requests

·      Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

·      2 years accounts payable/accounting experience preferred

·      High school diploma/GED, some college preferred

·      Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Alignment with the company’s mission and core values

·      Team-oriented, service-focused attitude 

·      Flexibility in duties and assignments

·      Ability to work occasional overtime

Physical Demands & Abilities

·      Ability to sit for extended periods of time, working from a computer

·      Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Compensation & Benefits

·      Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, estimated between $24.00/hour and $27.00/hour

·      PTO: 10 days vacation (increasing with years of service), 6 days sick, 7 paid holidays
