Job Description: Housekeeper
Purpose of Position:
To provide clean and fully supplied rooms for guests at check-in.
Essential Functions (but not limited to):
1. Clean and stock all guest rooms, as assigned, including changing linens on beds, dusting, and vacuuming, stocking supplies, emptying trash, and hand washing all wall and floor tiles, toilets, tubs, and sink fixtures.
2. Perform all laundry functions as needed, including moving linen to all storerooms, if necessary.
3. Report any employee injury to your supervisor immediately.
4. Implement all company policies and procedures for safety and security.
5. Stock room attendant cart with full supplies at the end of the day.
6. Turn in all lost and found items and follow lost and found procedures. (Bag, tag, and hold for 90 days)
7. Perform quarterly and deep cleaning duties and maintain logs.
8. Report status of all rooms cleaned on a timely basis.
9. Exhibit courteous manner with guests.
10. Empty and clean vacuum cleaner at the end of the day.
11. Perform all other tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
12. Lifting and moving furniture and equipment with assistance.
13. Flipping or rotating mattresses with assistance.
14. Assist with washing, drying, folding, and stocking laundry.
15. Complete daily public area required cleaning.
16. Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior public spaces.
17. Work closely with supervisors and maintenance team to report any maintenance or repair items.
Mandatory Job Requirements:
1. Neat, well-groomed appearance.
2. Wear appropriate company uniform including a name tag.
3. Eye for detail.
4. Must have a flexible schedule to include weekends and evenings.
5. Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time, including the use of stairs.
6. Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach objects above head and below knees.
7. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., move, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less or equal to ten pounds without assistance.
Accountability:
1. Clean rooms within established goals per room.
2. Follow all state and federal guidelines including OSHA Hazardous Communication Training.
3. Follow all brand standards.
4. Maintain high level of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
