The following position is available in the West Springfield Public School system:
SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL
SEBS Program (Social Emotional Behavioral)
Coburn Elementary School
Duties:
*Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning
*Alert the teacher of any problems or special information about students
*Participate in inservice training programs, as assigned
*Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work assigned by the teacher
*Relate to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline and instruction
*Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
*Associates Degree or 48 college credits or Workkeys certification completed
*Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
*Such alternatives found to be appropriate
*Certification in First Aid Certification and CPR preferred
Work Schedule:
Full Time: thirty (30) hours per week.
Salary: per Unit D contract
