Position Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.); at least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to learn and use HR systems and programs
- Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Knowledge of and ability to apply human resource management principles, including hiring, training, and orienting, coaching, and evaluating employees.
- Problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.
- Ability to communicate information between employees and management.
- Ability to employ considerable tact and diplomacy in communicating with others.
- Ability to work with others in a team-based environment.
- Ability to provide consistent, quality customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize are keys to success in this role
- Previous payroll processing experience
Note: This is primarily a 1st Shift position. Must be flexible to work flexible hours to meet with off shift on occasion.
Function Related Activities And Key Responsibilities
Human Resource
- Supporting the HR admin functions of our manufacturing facility
- Prepare HR data and statistics for trends and patterns
- Serves as the local HR contact for the Allentown manufacturing plant and warehouse
- Correspond with associates and relevant parties to resolve payroll issues
- Time & Attendance Calibration w/ managers to ensure accuracy
- Facilitate and/or Support New Hire Onboarding Process
- Schedule and Monitor candidate pre-employment testing process
- Meeting/Event coordination, logistics and communication Supports Talent Acquisition and hiring Managers to coordinate the hiring process
- Supports Ad hoc projects and assignments
- Completes requests to HRHELP to process employee changes which could include promotions, shift change, address update
- Helps coordinate plant initiatives (open enrollment, engagement activities)
- Stays current with employment trends and practices
- Completion of Internal Audits
- Workday experience would be a plus
Payroll
- Process payroll timely and accurately for 100 employees
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Thoroughly audit payroll reports each pay period and monthly
- Kronos or UltiPro experience would be a plus
