Athletic Summer Day Camp Counselor

The College Athletic Department is hiring energetic, positive, and professional individuals for the 2025 summer season. We have opportunities for both our All-Sports Camp day staff and sport-specific camps (including Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Soccer, etc.). We are looking for team members with a passion for working with children of all ages. Please note that for sport-specific camps, basic playing experience is required.

Compensation:

• Hourly wage: $12.00 – $16.00, based on position, qualifications, and experience

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure direct supervision and maintain a safe environment
• Actively engage in games, sports, and outdoor activities
• Foster a positive and supportive environment
• Communicate effectively with attendees, parents, and fellow staff
  
  
  

Required Skills:

• Exceptional customer service with a “can do” attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building abilities
• Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented setting
• Effective problem-solving skills and flexibility to handle last-minute changes
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age by May 1, 2025
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
• Availability to work at least 3-4 weeks of 40 hours

Additional Information:

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
