What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Technician position at Coherent Corp. US?
As a Test Technician, you will be involved in the following:
- •Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of laser modules, electronic circuits, and mechanical assemblies.
- •Work with free-space optical components - test and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
- •May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- •Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
- •Operate computer systems for testing of product and report writing.
- •Use lasers, monochromators, optics, DMM/DVMs, arbitrary waveform generators, power supplies, oscilloscopes, LabView software, current sources, laser beam analyzers, optical power meters, and other proprietary tools to perform tests and calibrations.
- •Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- •Contribute to control of inventory and work order management.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing and/or cleanroom workstation
- Day shift with flexible start schedule
Physical Requirements
- Standing and/or sitting workstation
- Lifting 5-10 pounds regularly
Safety Requirements
- PPE including ESD smock, ESD foot-grounding straps, and safety glasses
