What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stark Mobile Response Counselor position at Coleman Health Services?
Coleman Professional Services is seeking a passionate and motivated social work and/or counseling individual to provide crisis intervention and counseling services to individuals in homes, emergency rooms, and various community settings. This position is full-time or part-time and has flexibility in the hours/shifts you would be wanting to work.
Salary up to $70,000/yr based on Licensure (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC), experience and shift.
Available Shifts:
- Part-Time Weekends
Mobile Response Counselor / Social Worker Duties include:
- Respond to individuals in crisis throughout Stark County to determine level of care needed for safety of client and others
- Triage, engagement, assessment, and trauma-informed behavioral health interventions to foster crisis resolution
- Collaboration with Police, fire, and EMS to assist in the assessment process
- Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationship with community professionals
- Complete necessary training to become certified to issue applications for emergency admissions “Pink Slips”
- Maintain timely documentation of crisis interactions and outcomes
Qualifications of Mobile Response Counselor / Social Worker:
- Master's degree along with LSW/LISW or LPC/LPCC licensure
- Must be eligible for an NPI number and an Ohio Medicaid number
- Acceptable driving record
- Must be willing to complete and have favorable results for criminal background check, drug/alcohol screening, and driving check if selected for the position
Preference given to the following candidates:
- Past or current work experience in an emergency room, community behavioral health or crisis intervention setting
- Past or current Experience in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma informed care
This crucial position is available thanks to a nearly $4 million SAMHSA grant that Coleman received to implement Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in our service areas of greatest need.
