We are seeking Part-time Wellness Mentors to join our team at the Wellness Center. As a leader and role model, you will work directly with the Wellness Center Manager and members to plan and implement Center operations.
The Wellness Center is designed to empower individuals in recovery to achieve a balanced lifestyle centered on wellness, encompassing social, spiritual, financial, occupational, environmental, mental, emotional, and physical health.
As a Wellness Mentor, you will:
- Work collaboratively with the Wellness Center Manager to develop and implement Center programs.
- Provide peer support and guidance to members, visitors, and community members.
- Maintain knowledge of basic principles of wellness/recovery and peer support.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in the mental health field.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system, and community resources.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with individuals who receive or have received mental health and/or substance abuse services.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in mental health field.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources.
- Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
- Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
Working Hours: 18 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $17.50 - $19.23 depending on qualifications
Salary : $18 - $19
