Plans, implements, and delivers instruction for Social Science, i.e. Political Science, Philosophy, Anthropology, and Sociology courses at CEI.Instruction for this position will align with the competencies for Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing and the assessment of outcomes provided by the State Board of EducationPrepares and strives to achieve annual divisional goals and the strategic goals of the CollegeParticipates on committees when requiredEvaluates student progress and clearly defines academic goals for student successHolds designated office hours and meets with students to promote success and learningParticipates in department planning and expansionEvaluates and recommends purchases of equipment and supplies needed to meet program goalsSupports activities, events, ceremonies, and other functions of CEIProvides leadership within CEI and the community in promoting the mission and goals of the CollegePerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Five years of teaching experience and leadership roles within the education systemDoctorate in core subject areaBilingual (Spanish)________________________________________________________________________________________ Physical Demands and Work Environment: Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours. Background Investigations: Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
