The function of the assistant retail sales manager is to support the retail sales and the daily operations of a retail store. Your role is to increase unit and POS sales, improve merchandising, retail signage, and overall appearance of the retail store. You will work with customers and provide knowledge, insight and direction to make and educated sale. You will help carry out the directives of the manager and owner.

As an Assistant Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for satisfying customers in every possible way. You will be carrying out that goal through positive and effective communication with customers as well as efficient operation of the store. You will provide the Store Manager with the help he or she requires to keep the shop in top running order, from managing inventory , ordering inventory and processing sales. We’re looking for a friendly and ambitious professional who wants to begin or continue a career in retail sales management.

Assistant Retail Sales Manager Responsibilities:

• Retail unit sales and POS sales.
• Layout of floor, signage and products to increase sales and profitability
• Ensure that the store is clean, safe and presentable for customers
• Greet and assist customers and offer help in any of their needs.
• Maintain product levels appropriately and help store manager with inventory levels.
• Interact with the public via social media and utilize it for promotions, sales and help maintain the store’s online presence.
• Generate and review weekly sales report and KPI reports

Assistant Retail Sales Manager Skills:

• 2 years’ experience in a retail setting
• 1 years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred but not required
• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Commission

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
