CVH - Veterinary Receptionist/Client Services Representative
Colmey Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full or part time veterinary receptionists/client services representative. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. This position performs a variety of office and customer service related tasks and is critical to the efficiency of our normal operations.
We are a busy mixed animal practice located in beautiful, small-town Livingston, MT. Our clinic was established in 1950 and has provided veterinary services to the pets and livestock of Park County for over 70 years. We are an upbeat animal hospital focused on the care of our clients and their animals, and our clients are friendly and enjoy our family-like experience. The clinic currently offers routine health services, non-routine and illness visits, routine elective surgeries, dentistry, reproductive services and several non-elective or emergent surgeries for both small and large animals. Our clinic utilizes Cornerstone for appointment scheduling and invoicing, and front end staff frequently need to count cash and make change.
Job Duties
- Serve as the first and last point of contact for clients and patients
- Answer phone calls and return missed calls, take necessary notes, answer questions and schedule appointments or direct calls as needed
- Return client calls after conferring with a doctor, technician or management as necessary
- Must work with technicians/assistants to coordinate doctor schedules and ensure normal operations
- Must be able to recognize certain true emergency cases which must be seen immediately, including but not limited to: bloat, urinary obstruction, hit by car or other major traumas, birthing difficulty, etc.
- Report any safety concerns, necessary equipment or supply maintenance, infrastructure issues, etc. to appropriate individual(s)
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Expected to participate in company events
- Optional - kennel duties (shared with technicians/assistants) on weekdays as well as rotating weekend kennel duty schedule

Preferred Characteristics
- Experience in the field of veterinary medicine and/or animal welfare
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, email programs, etc.)
- Experience with Cornerstone/other veterinary medical software, or other customer relationship management (CRM)/enterprise resource planning program (ERP)

- Excellent attention to detail: with checking invoices, entering patient and client information, scheduling appointments, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
