The agency is currently recruiting for a Psychiatric / MH Nurse Practitioner. ARNP is part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and coordination with community providers.
Position responsibility includes performing psychiatric diagnosis and treatment including prescribing and managing medication therapy, obtaining health histories, teaching and recommending other services as necessary. Position has clinical responsibility for monitoring participant treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. The ARNP is responsible for assuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws and relevant contract and procedure requirements associated with the operations within the Medical Services Department.
Monday through Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm. NO WEEKENDS
Masters degree in Nursing, Psychiatric, VA Dept. of Health license as a Psychiatric ARNP with prescriptive authority, Registration with the DEA Knowledge and skill in working with co-occurring MH and Substance use disorders.
