CMA is seeking a High School English Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year.

Colorado Military Academy is a tuition free public charter school for K-12 conveniently located next to Peterson SFB. Pre-K is available as a tuition-based program.

General Description:
Teaches knowledge and skills in English or literature fields for high school students.
Promotes critical and creative thinking and analysis in all related subject areas.
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for subject area, and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
Follows IEP accommodations and communicates with SpEd teachers as needed.
Posts grades and comments in PowerSchool in a timely manner.
Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Attends professional development and other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Preference given to applicants with State Certification as an English Teacher
Passing score on PLACE or Praxis in MS English
Bachelor's degree in related field; master’s degree preferred
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
