Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activities to meet the students’ physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
- Develop suitable curricula and effective teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, specialists (, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists), and support staff.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment fostering student growth and development.
- Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities, and their child’s progress.
- Participate in public-oriented activities related to his / her teaching assignment and building, such as : Parent-teacher meetings and conferencesOpen HousePublic performance of children in plays, concerts, athletic activities, etc.
- To be available to students before the opening of the regular school day in the morning and in your classroom or building after the close of the regular school day according to the negotiated contractual agreement.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
