What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquets Operations Coordinator position at Columbus Hospitality Management?
Primary Responsibilities :
- Coordinate the planning and execution of banquet events, including weddings, corporate meetings, and other special occasions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely with them to understand their needs and ensure their event vision is realized.
- Liaise with chefs, food and beverage staff, and other departments to ensure timely setup, service, and breakdown of events.
- Manage event logistics, including room layouts, seating arrangements, audiovisual needs, and catering requirements.
- Maintain a detailed schedule of events and ensure all team members are informed and prepared.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and any relevant legal requirements.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Handle last-minute changes or issues, ensuring event adjustments are communicated and smoothly implemented.
- Collect feedback from client’s post-events to identify areas for improvement and enhance client satisfaction.
- Support the Banquets Manager in developing marketing strategies to attract new clientele and increase event bookings.
