The Columbus REALTORS Director of Development and Community Partnerships will be responsible for overseeing the Columbus REALTORS Foundation operations, ensuring compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations, and developing and maintaining strategic partnerships within the community. The Director will also serve as the lead fundraiser for our bi-partisan Political Action Committee, CORPAC.

This role will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including board members, donors, community organizations, and volunteers, to advance the association, foundation and PACs mission.

This position will solicit and engage REALTOR members as Foundation & PAC contributors, oversee Foundation programs and assist leadership in the promotion of the REALTOR brand, both within the REALTOR association and externally to local community, government, and nonprofit leaders.

Key Responsibilities :

Foundation Management :

  • Oversee daily operations of the foundation, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare budgets in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Provide association Board of Directors and Foundation Board of Trustees with timely financial / fundraising reports and event evaluation.
  • Work with staff and partners to design, implement, and evaluate programs that align with the foundation's goals.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and impact, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Serve as the staff liaison for necessary Association, Foundation & PAC committees as directed.
  • Handle confidential information with care and discretion.
  • Enhance giving opportunities, make it easier to give!

Community Partnerships :

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and stakeholders to further the foundation's mission.
  • Collaborate with partners to create and implement programs that address community needs and enhance the foundation's visibility.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach events, workshops, and seminars to promote initiatives.
  • Fundraising and Grant Writing :

  • Grow programs with increased contributions, including Foundation planned giving.
  • Maximize use of NAR resources and other community grant opportunities as identified
  • Develop fundraising strategies and campaigns to secure financial support for the foundation's initiatives.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Columbus REALTORS communications team to ensure that the Columbus REALTORS Foundation's mission is effectively communicated to both the membership and the general public.
  • Communication and Advocacy :

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the foundation's work and engage the community.
  • Advocate for community needs and the foundation's mission through public speaking, presentations, and networking.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Columbus REALTORS communications team to ensure that the Columbus REALTORS Foundations mission is effectively communicated to both the membership and the general public.
  • Enhance awareness and public recognition of the Foundation, and REALTOR brand.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit management, community outreach, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of 501(c)(3) regulations and nonprofit best practices.
  • Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and build strong relationships within the community.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and nonprofit management software.
