REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
LOCATION: Nespelem, WA
Responsible for maintaining all general accounting functions and preparing financial reports; performs accounting functions and maintains records in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), established policies and procedures, performs duties in a customer service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer and vendor relations.
Essential Functions:
• Creates and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and operating reports for distribution to management and other company personnel.
• Manages accounts requiring the analysis of accounting transactions and the establishment or maintenance of accounting controls.
• Monitors cash and holding accounts to maintain cash balances and reconcile accounts on a daily or periodic basis reflecting activities of the business units.
• Responsible for Accounts Payable duties include inputting all purchase orders, invoices, issue payments, and keeping complete files. Research accounts payable issues and may respond to vendor calls.
• Ensures all financial accounting policies, procedures, and practices are implemented and followed.
• Responsible for balancing and entering daily cash sheets.
• Performs general accounting functions that include transactions related to cash, receivables, fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, accrued to prepaid expenses, and the general ledger.
• Reconciles bank accounts to General Ledger.
• Inputs large amounts of data entry daily.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned to promote the goals and objectives of the corporation.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
• Associate degree in accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a multi-company environment with manual and automated accounting system.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP regulations and principles.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to communicate well with all levels of management as well as customers, vendors, and independent accountants.
• Ability to clearly communicate or present findings and numerical data.
• Ability to perform multifaceted projects, in conjunction with normal activities.
• Experience in the utilization of a personal computer as a productive tool using MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
• Must possess current Washington State Driver’s License.
• Special Skills, training or requirement needed for this position; bank reconciliation experience preferred.

• Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• Ability to frequently sit for prolonged periods of time.
