Who we are looking for:
An individual who will be responsible for performing inspections, assessments and field sampling using various media and in various environments. This position will primarily be working in our Industrial Hygiene service line.
What you will be doing:
- Performs inspections, assessments and field sampling using various media and in various environments
- Conducts mold, indoor air quality, and hazardous material inspections
- Records observations and results
- Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to, pumps, vacuum, equipment, generators
- Reviews and analyzes historical sources and data to generate reports
- Performs basic calculations and computer data entry
- Prepares and maintains necessary reports and records as required
- Accepts training and direction from Staff II and III, Lead Scientists, Regional Managers and Practice Leaders
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
- Entry level position. 0-2 years of related experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred
- Desire and ability to perform field work at project sites
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance practices
- Proficiency with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
- Excellent communication, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently and within teams to achieve goals
- Must be detail oriented, with the ability to follow defined procedures
- Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening, including a background investigation, drug screening, and driving record check
- Ability to continuously sit, stand, and walk
- Ability to perform strenuous field work including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing on ladders and roofing systems, and entering crawlspaces
- Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach, push, and pull
- Ability to work in environments containing dust, mold, and hazardous materials with safety gear
- Ability to frequently drive to and from work sites, must have valid driver’s license with good-standing driving record
- May travel overnight (less than 35%)
- May work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
