Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management:
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify invoice details, including amounts, terms, and payment deadlines.
- Payment Processing:
- Schedule and prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies for payment approvals.
- Reconciliation:
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate payment records and vendor correspondence.
- Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to address inquiries and payment issues.
- Monitor vendor accounts for aging balances and overdue payments.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare accounts payable reports, including aging summaries and payment forecasts.
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance/accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Office-based position.
- Regular activities include walking, sitting, and standing, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Extended time working on a computer and telephone.
