About the Position
The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time position responsible for a variety of key human resources functions including workplace investigations, recruiting, onboarding, leaves of absence management, payroll management, benefit enrollment and other administrative tasks.
CSS’ California office is located in Mountain View on Moffett Federal Airfield. Moffett Federal Airfield is a military airport with restricted access and the selected candidate for this position must maintain a valid Driver’s License to access the base.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position is $43 to $48 per hour. This position is also eligible for the following benefits:

Essential Position Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment efforts and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process, including resume review, phone interviews and scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
- Create and post job advertisements on various platforms.
- Prepare offer letters and manage the onboarding process.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing support and guidance and responding to employee inquiries.
- Conduct investigations into employee concerns, complaints, and issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation of investigations and outcomes.
- Maintain employee records, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate.
- Assist with employee training, development programs and performance management.
- Enroll new employees in health insurance benefits, make changes, review and approve all incoming bills for processing.
- Oversee the payroll process for 50 employees.
- Implement company policies and compliance measures.
- Maintain and generate reports and assist with preparing documents for audits.
- Help foster a positive, supportive company culture by assisting in the planning and coordination of employee engagement events and initiatives.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of human resources experience in a company of at least 50 employees is required.
- Good working knowledge of California employment laws and the ability to interpret them.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations, documentation and making recommendations for resolution.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations and workplace investigations.
- Ability to explain employment laws and policies to staff in a way that is easily understandable.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and the ability to keep information confidential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and HRIS systems.
- Willing to support a 24 hour operation.
- Experience in the security industry and BSIS regulations preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is preferred.
