The Senior Housing Accountant/Analyst will be responsible for accounting functions related to multiple senior living investment entities, including three senior living funds and six active project entities. This role will work closely with the Assistant Controller and Senior Living Asset Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support capital management, and assist in budget and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong consolidation experience and a background in private equity, fund accounting, or real estate finance.

Position Summary
The Senior Housing Accountant/Analyst will be responsible for accounting functions related to multiple senior living investment entities, including three senior living funds and six active project entities. This role will work closely with the Assistant Controller and Senior Living Asset Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support capital management, and assist in budget and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong consolidation experience and a background in private equity, fund accounting, or real estate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including accruals, fixed asset accounting, equity reconciliations, and elimination entries for development and operating projects.
- Collaborate with third-party operators to gather and integrate financial data.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage project-level cash balances.
- Support the processing of developer and lender funding requests in collaboration with the Assistant Controller and Asset Manager.
- Maintain and report on debt balances, including construction and permanent financing.
- Prepare loan abstracts and assist in debt covenant compliance reporting.
- Coordinate capital calls and quarterly distributions for stabilized projects.
- Track and reconcile investor capital accounts by project, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process for senior living entities in partnership with the Assistant Controller and third-party operators.
- Prepare year-end tax return workpapers for all senior living fund and project entities.
- Support the implementation of investment management and investor portal software.
- Perform other senior living accounting duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3 years of experience in fund accounting, real estate finance, or private equity preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial statement consolidation and elimination entries.
- Experience working with development-stage and stabilized real estate assets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting platforms a plus.
- Investment management software knowledge or implementation experience is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
