What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest?
Commonwealth Electric is looking for a high-spirited, well organized, personable HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team! This individual will assist the team with various HR activities from recruiting and selection, to benefits, to assisting with our company-wide internship program.

Some of the primary duties of the HR Generalist may include:
- Overseeing the management of the Applicant Tracking System including but not limited to posting open positions, screening assigned applicants and ensuring proper documentation of status changes.
- Managing the on-boarding process by starting background checks, monitoring drug/alcohol screen compliance, gathering electronic new hire paperwork and more.
- Assisting with the enrollment of new hire benefits.
- Facilitating all on-campus recruiting activities - this includes activities at colleges, community colleges and high schools
- Managing our company-wide wellness program.
