THE POSITION

If so, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is eager to welcome an enthusiastic and diligent Clerical Assistant 2 to work within Region 3 of Retail Operations. This is an fantastic opportunity to serve as the main receptionist and provide vital clerical support for the Region 3 Regional Office. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will be responsible for processing Enterprise Position/Personnel Action Requests (E-PAR) as well as reconciling and coding transactions for Mastercard purchases for all cardholders. This professional also processes confidential disciplinary actions to include preparation of fact-finding letters, removal pending letters, and suspension letters to be delivered by District Managers. Excellent organization skills are vital in the preparation of packets for Labor Relations, taking and transcribing detailed notes during meetings, and maintaining automotive reports for vehicles assigned to Region 3 personnel.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours may be negotiable.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
