County Casework Manager 1 (Local Government) - Washington County C&Y

In this important role, you will oversee County Casework Supervisors with screening and evaluating request for services as well as assigning and reviewing work and evaluating work performance. Your direct supervision will assure compliance with policies and procedures based on Federal, State, and County laws and best practices. This position oversees and coordinates qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and data display to support practice and systematic improvements across the agency. In this role, you will obtain, compile, evaluate, and report on data related to CPS and GPS cases. You will have the opportunity to assist in coordination, planning and data management processes as related to service improvement approaches and specialized quality improvement initiatives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position includes working evening and weekend hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years of experience in public or private social work which included one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: 

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical exam and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
