Maintenance Repairman 2 - Loysville Youth Development Center, Perry County

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and electrical trades both indoors and outdoors to keep the buildings and grounds safe for residents and staff.  Within this role, you must maintain strict accountability of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure the safety and security of employees and residents.  This professional is also expected to adhere to all federal, state, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures governing confidentiality.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.  Hours may vary based upon operational needs.
• This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events.
• Travel and overtime as needed. 
• You must be willing to accept employment at Loysville Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Loysville, Perry County.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
