THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for performing both semi-skilled and skilled tasks across a variety of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Your duties will span both indoor and outdoor environments, ensuring the safety and upkeep of the buildings and grounds for residents and staff. You will also serve as a lead worker, overseeing semi-skilled workers as assigned. Additionally, you will assess the necessary supplies and equipment for each task while determining the appropriate safety and security measures required. Your work will be vital in maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of our facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Travel may be required as needed.
- Overtime may be required as needed, either voluntary or potentially mandatory.
- May change based on operational needs.
- This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events.
- Must be willing to accept employment at Loysville Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Perry County .
- Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785.00 (before taxes).
