What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Systems Specialist at NW OKC position at Communication Federal Credit Union?
The Mortgage Systems Specialist will provide frontline IT/system support for the staff to assist with the day-to-day operations. Will coordinate technology needs with outsourced vendors for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Assist the VP of Mortgage in researching, planning, and implementing new technologies to improve member access and staff efficiency.
Who You Are:
- Basic understanding of mortgage rules, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Extensive knowledge of basic mortgage processes and procedures, including all related real estate regulatory compliance. Specifically, FNMA and FHLB regulations, as well as requirements for FHA, VA and USDA.
- Professional and well-developed communication skills and phone etiquette to work cooperatively with co-workers and other members of the mortgage industry. Be available for urgent after-hours issues.
- STRONG attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Self-motivated, analytical and detail oriented.
- Ability to organize and prioritize to meet numerous deadlines.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to members, other employees of the credit union and outside parties.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining the mortgage systems, updates, sharing details with others and working to have systems connect and work together when possible.
- Assists with all IT tools, resources and systems used by staff that work both on-site and remotely.
- Ensure workstation continuity for all system users, set up workstations and train staff in usage.
- Proactively recommend ways to improve computer programs and system capabilities.
- Troubleshoot any system and or computer issue.
- Complete system buildouts and integration and build new products in the system, while updating current products.
Education and Experience:
- Associates or Certification in IT/Systems Support preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED
- Some experience in Mortgage and/or an IT system support role
- Any combination of education, training experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job required.
