Safety and Human Resources Administrator
Position Overview:
Communication Technology Services (CTS) is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for enterprise cellular networks in the U.S., specializing in the design, installation and support of Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks for Enterprise.We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety and Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This critical role supports a growing wireless network provider serving significant carriers nationwide. The Safety and Human Resources Administrator will work closely with the Safety Manager three days a week and the HR Director two days a week, ensuring seamless integration of Safety and HR initiatives.
This is a full-time, onsite position in our corporate office. We seek a flexible and motivated team player with strong organizational skills, demonstrated computer skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Administration (3 Days/Week):
- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to develop and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and DOT/FMCSA standards.
- Register new hires in pre-approved safety and driver training programs, ensuring timely onboarding.
- Track and maintain employee training completion, certifications, and compliance records to meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Use tools such as SambaSafety and Samsara to monitor driver performance and ensure vehicle safety through telematics systems.
- Assist in investigating safety incidents, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support Safety Committees by managing agendas, minutes, calendars, and initiatives.
HR Support (2 Days/Week):
- Partner with the HR Director and team to onboard newly hired employees.
- Assist with audits and compliance reporting for both HR and Safety-related initiatives.
- Assist with benefit, performance review, and HRIS administration and reporting.
- Responding to employee requests and inquiries.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed or required.
Training Coordination:
- Schedule and track mandatory safety and driver training programs for both new hires and existing employees.
- Proactively ensure timely renewal of certifications and licenses to avoid compliance gaps.
- Maintain a training calendar and regularly update department heads on training status and compliance metrics.
Independent Task Management:
- Identify, prioritize, and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Develop and implement new systems and processes to improve the efficiency of training and certification tracking.
- Act as a liaison between safety and HR departments to ensure clear communication and alignment of initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in safety administration, HR support, or a related role.
Skills & Knowledge:
- General knowledge of OSHA and DOT/FMCSA standards.
- Candidates must have general knowledge of or use tools such as SambaSafety, Samsara, and vehicle telematics systems.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
- Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with database systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the wireless network or telecommunications industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage training programs and effectively track compliance.
- Candidates should be familiar with safety and HR regulations related to fleet management and driver safety.
