This position reports to the Development Director (DD) and works closely with the Associate Director of Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working under the direction of the DD, help support a comprehensive annual fundraising plan that increases gifts and nurtures donors' generosity.
- Database Management, Gift Entry, Acknowledgements, and Reports: Actively ensure health and accuracy of CATA's database records; enter gifts and pledges in the donor database and update donor records with sharp attention to detail; generate acknowledgment letters for donors, proofreading for accuracy; serve as in-house expert on donor database reports; create weekly fundraising reports to track progress to goal; generate regular reports on pledges.
- Major Gifts: Working closely with the DD and Executive Director (ED), support growth and implementation of robust major gifts program; track and monitor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; research and prepare donor profiles.
- Lists and External Mailings: Create reports and segmented lists to support mailings, eBlasts, appeals, invitations, and other projects; support the planning and execution of development-related mailings, including stuffing notes, stamping, and sealing envelopes where needed.
- Gala & Special Events: Support CATA's highly successful gala fundraiser which engages 400 donors annually; coordinate planning and mailing of sponsorship solicitation; track underwriting and RSVPs for gala and other donor events; maintain updated guest lists and other materials; attend and support special events.
- Online Giving Platform: Maintain annual giving donation and reply forms for online giving platform. Support special fundraising projects as needed, including capital campaigns, and conduct other relevant duties to support the broader mission. Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising preferred, with demonstrated success in database management
- High proficiency in CRM software and donor databases; Bloomerang experience a plus
- Proven expertise in Google Suite, MS Office, project management tools, and other fundraising technology
- Excellent time management, organizational planning, and administrative skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with a positive attitude, embracing curiosity, active listening, and ongoing learning
- Superb written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Some knowledge of and an openness to learn fundraising best practices including ethics, research, cultivation, special events, solicitation, direct mail, gift processing, proposal writing, and reporting
- Ability to relate to a diverse range of people and stakeholders with ease, discretion, and diplomacy and to exercise cultural competence and inclusion
- Must have reliable transportation to Great Barrington, MA. This is an in-person role. Local travel is required to attend CATA events, with mileage reimbursement available
- COVID vaccination required of all CATA employees

The Development Coordinator is a full-time non-exempt position. Starting salary is commensurate with relevant experience, within the framework of the organization's operating budget, and in the range of $52,000 - $58,000 annually. An excellent benefits package includes:
