ABOUT THE POSITION
The Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Executive Director and ensuring the smooth operation of CBN’s administrative, organizational, and project-related tasks. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional passionate about supporting community-driven initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Coordinator will:
· Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence.
· Manage and prioritize communications, ensuring prompt responses and streamlined workflows.
· Prepare meeting agendas, summaries, and follow-up actions for internal and external stakeholders.
· Assist with event planning, coordination, and logistics for workshops, board meetings, and community events.
· Maintain organizational records and manage key administrative processes, including membership renewals and document preparation.
· Research and compile information for reports, presentations, and advocacy materials.
· Liaise with board members, staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
· Support marketing and communications efforts, including drafting newsletters and managing outreach materials.
· Conduct research to inform advocacy efforts and keep the Executive Director updated on relevant policy developments.
· And other projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, urban planning, economics, social work or related field.
Experience:
· Proven administrative or executive support experience, preferably in the nonprofit or community development sector.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working with diverse populations and stakeholders.
Skills and Abilities:
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
· Strong writing and editing skills for professional communication and reporting.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
· Competitive salary: $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience.
