Christian 9th Grade History and AP U.S. History Teacher

Community Christian School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Social Science Teacher to teach 9th Grade American History and AP U.S. History for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for history, a heart for students, and the ability to present historical content through a biblical worldview.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach 9th Grade American History and AP U.S. History courses
• Prepare engaging, standards-based lesson plans that foster critical thinking and historical inquiry
• Integrate a biblical worldview into course content and classroom discussions
• Support student success through individualized attention and regular feedback
• Communicate consistently with parents and administration regarding student progress
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and assessments
• Collaborate with department and school staff to align curriculum and school-wide initiatives
• Participate in professional development and faculty meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or related field (required)
• Master’s degree and/or AP certification preferred
• Experience teaching AP courses or college-level content is a plus
• A commitment to Christian education and the mission of CCS
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
