Development Manager
JOB SUMMARY: The Development Manager is responsible for publicizing the agency’s services, programs, and activities; for writing grants to secure additional funds; and for oversight of the Customer Relations Manual (CRM) donor database.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the production of materials related to the Development Department, i.e. newsletter, bulletins as necessary, annual report, media communications, and interactions with grantors and donors.
2. Responsible for the research, preparation, and follow-up involved in the writing of proposals for foundations, corporations, organizations, and individuals.
3. Responsible for oversight of the CRM donor database, working in collaboration with IT, Events, and Volunteer personnel.
4. Maintain accurate records and provide reports as requested about all aspects of resource development.
5. Must maintain confidentiality of services.
6. Participate in the short and long-range planning of the agency.
7. Attend staff meetings as designated unless the Executive Director waives this requirement.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Supervised by the Executive Director.
2. Work with all agency employees, volunteers, and student interns.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education – must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Must have basic computer skills.
2. Experience – Grant writing experience preferred.
3. Technical Skills – must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of word-processing required; good management and organizational skills; good administration skills; ability to prioritize responsibilities.
4. Social Skills – must be self-motivated and function well independently with minimal supervision; must exhibit confidence in representing and marketing the agency through the media and in person; must demonstrate flexibility and a teamwork capacity within the agency; must have established leadership skills.
5. Physical Requirements – must have visual and auditory acuity; must be able to lift approximately thirty (30) pounds; must be able to enter information into agency computer system.
6. Transportation Requirement – must be willing and able to travel throughout the area. If using a privately-owned automobile, must have a valid driver’s license and must provide proof of acceptable current automobile insurance coverage.
7. Attendance – must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

**$1500 Sign on Bonus, half paid one the second paycheck and at 6 months**
