Role:
The Program Support Coordinator plays a dual role in providing direct classroom assistance during the school day and facilitating engaging clubs or enrichment activities in the after-school program. The role requires strong skills to lead STEM, dance, arts, or other engaging classes that promote youth development and student success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Classroom Assistance (Daytime):
- Provide in-classroom support to teachers and staff by helping facilitate activities, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting student needs.
- Assist in small group instruction, classroom management, and resource preparation as needed.
- Work with school staff to ensure consistent support and alignment with daily curriculum goals.
- Oversee students during non-classroom times, including transitions, lunch periods, and field excursions.
- Assist with maintaining the classroom environment, ensuring it is safe, clean, and organized.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to revise lesson materials and assess student progress.
Afterschool Programming:
- Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate enrichment classes or clubs in areas such as STEM, dance, theater, arts, or life skills.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and structure to students during after-school program hours.
- Collaborate with program staff to align after-school activities with youth development goals.
- Track attendance and student participation, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines.
- Design activities that promote learning, creativity, and personal growth for students.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $39,141 - $44,965
Required Education and Experience:
- must possess a High School diploma or an Associates degree
- At least 3 years of experience working with children and youth in an educational or enrichment setting.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging after-school programs in dance, choir, theater, or STEM.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience leading STEM, dance, arts, or similar enrichment classes.
- Experience in a school, youth services, or afterschool program setting.
- Ability to work with diverse youth populations and create inclusive programming.
- Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching and inclusive learning practices.
