What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Servicer position at Community First Credit Union?
As our Consumer Loan Servicer, you will:
- Provide outstanding, quality service to external and internal members
- Disburse home equity loans from our loan origination system to the core system
- Perform quality control on home equity closing documentation
- Prepare lien releases and satisfactions for paid loans and send payoff confirmation letters
- Complete loan maintenance requests and related transactions on our core system
- Complete internal and external loan payoff quote requests
- Electronically record mortgages and satisfactions to the County Register of Deeds
- Process payment protection claims and apply approved funds to loans
- Submit Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) claims
- Process GAP and Mechanical Repair Coverage cancellations
- Work with 3rd parties to process total loss claims
- Generate adverse action forms for all denied and withdrawn applications
- Sort and process incoming department mail
- Handle member and lender calls in the phone queue
- Monitor and process emails received in the department shared inbox
Our ideal candidate will have a combination of:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent degree (GED, HSED)
- Minimum of one year of lending or financial services experience is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and web-based software packages
- Passion for providing outstanding service to our members – internal and external

Compliance Accountabilities:
The Consumer Loan Servicer must act in accordance with Community First Credit Union policies and procedures. Complete all required compliance training and continuing education within specified timeframe. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all internal operating procedures within the Consumer Lending Services Department, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
