**Job Summary:**
The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in financial operations, reporting, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This position will involve managing accounting software systems, reporting financial data, and contributing to fiscal reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities:**
- Ensure financial operations align with accounting principles and regulations
- Manage accounting software systems including accounts payable, journal entries, and documentation
- Assist in providing timely and accurate fiscal reporting for internal and external communication
- Reconcile daily cash transactions and prepare cash journal entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and track vendor invoices
- Manage grants within the accounting software system and track fixed assets
- Assist in month-end close, financial report preparation, and audits
- Support budgeting processes by collaborating with budget owners
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors
**Qualifications:**
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA, CMA certification, or MBA preferred
- Experience: At least three years of accounting experience, preferably in not-for-profit healthcare
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Ability to communicate effectively, work under pressure, and collaborate with others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and General Ledger accounting systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
**Physical Demands:**

**Compensation:**
Salaried position with a salary range of $60,500 to $67,000.
