What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Community Healthcare of Texas?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk provides support for and assists with accounting functions including accounts payable, auditing, and general ledger account reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Accurately record routine journal entries and maintain various records in a timely manner
- Accurately record accounts payable entries, checks, and ACH, etc.
- Maintain depreciation and prepaid schedules
- Assist with general business office duties as directed and assigned including a variety of billing functions (completing Medicaid forms, physician’s services, responding to patients’ calls, etc.)
- Reconcile all bank accounts
- Cross-train on other Business Office functions as needed
- Provide ad hoc reporting as requested/directed
- All other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or equivalent required
- 2 years of accounting experience with an emphasis in accounts payable required
- Proficient skill using a computer is required
