Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.
This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1 pm - 4 pm
Pay: $16.32/Hour & $0.35 mileage reimbursement
Tasks:
- Cleaning up around the house, like sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, and washing dishes
- Making and cooking good meals
- Dealing with the laundry
- Keeping someone company while they take a shower (just being there, not helping with washing)
- Going out to get what’s needed when asked
To be successful:
- A real driver's license
- A check to make sure your past is good
- A wish to help someone else feel better
- Some basic cooking and cleaning abilities
