WHAT DOES A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROGRAM (CDDP) MANAGER DO?

As a Community Developmental Disabilities Program (CDDP) Manager, your daily responsibilities will revolve around providing crucial leadership and oversight to our developmental disabilities programs in the Southern Oregon Coast. You will coordinate and manage program operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while fostering a supportive environment for clients and staff. Expect to engage in regular communication with clients, families, and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and integrity. You will lead a motivated team, guiding them in implementing tailored support plans and strategies for the individuals we serve. Additionally, you'll conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for your staff.

Problem-solving will be key, as you work to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions that enhance program effectiveness. Your role will also involve collaborating with community resources and advocating for individuals' rights and access to services.

To excel as a Community Developmental Disabilities Program (CDDP) Manager, candidates must possess a broad range of skills and competencies. Demonstrated experience in fiscal, personnel, managerial, and operational processes is essential for effectively overseeing specialized developmental disabilities services. A strong understanding of administrative practices will enhance program supervision and impact. Good physical health and good moral character are critical, backed by three positive references and a clear criminal history reference check. A current and valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required for program-related travel.

Proficiency in computer systems and software is essential to ensure efficient operations and maintain effective communication. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to read, write, understand, and speak English proficiently. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with families, advocates, service brokerages, and local agencies will be fundamental. Additionally, you must implement the agency's emergency on-call support policy and be available to provide 24-hour emergency assistance to individuals and families served by Community Living Case Management.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Demonstrated experience and administrative knowledge and skills in fiscal, personnel managerial and operational processes necessary for the general supervision of specialized DD services and supports.
  • Good physical health.
  • Good moral character, demonstrated by three positive references and a clear criminal history reference check.
  • Possession of a current and valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Computer related skills to ensure systems/programs are in place.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with families, advocates, service brokerages, providers, and state and local agencies with interest in people with developmental disabilities.
  • Implement agency emergency on-call support policy with staff and be available to provide 24-hour emergency support to individuals and families served by CLCM.
