Community Youth Services is looking for a dedicated Behavioral/Mental Health Clinical Supervisor to lead our Transitional Age Youth (TAY) program in Mason County. This pivotal role involves providing co-occurring clinical supervision, overseeing staff clinical development, and ensuring program success through diligent training, supervision, and consultation. Adaptable schedule, encompassing in-office hours, community outreach, telehealth sessions, and availability for night and weekend responses as needed.


This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary starting at $8,648 TO $11,088 per month.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • One of the following Washington State DOH Licenses with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience:
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
    • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
  • Qualification as a Mental Health Professional and a Child Mental Health Specialist.
  • Willingness to complete 15 hours of clinical supervision training within 30 days of hire.
  • Previous Clinical Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in community-based work, assessment, diagnosis, service eligibility, and crisis response.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records or case management systems is advantageous.
  • Alignment with the Positive Youth Development Approach.
  • Experience working with multiple systems such as Juvenile Justice, mental health, schools, and DCYF.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide co-occurring clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development for TAY staff. Lead group supervisions and partner with leadership to maintain high clinical standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and outcomes, address issues, and support goal achievement through positive coaching.
  • Maintain certification for assessment tools, ensure staff eligibility determination standards, manage risk assessments, and support safety planning.
  • Participate in the development and training of the Electronic Health Records System, monitor quality assurance, and evaluate service utilization and outcomes.
  • Implement the program model following The Golden Thread, ensuring compliance with contracts and fidelity to Evidence-Based Practice Models.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation, ensuring it meets all standards and requirements for billing compliance.
  • Work with community partners and contractors for staff supervision and adherence to the WISe Model fidelity.
  • Communicate regularly with the ICD Leadership Team for program development and implementation.
  • Monitor and approve licensure hours for clinical staff and appoint SUDPs for supervision.
  • Collaborate on staff training needs and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Work with the TAY Program Director on agency, community, and regional meetings impacting the TAY program.
  • Provide on-call support for TAY staff and cover for other supervisors as needed, including availability during nights and weekends.

Agency Qualifications:

  1. Successfully clear a thorough background check with no history of causing harm, particularly to children or vulnerable adults.
  2. Maintain a clean criminal record, demonstrating professional and personal integrity.
  3. Hold a valid Washington State Driver's License with at least five years of driving experience and a good driving record for the past three years.
  4. Provide proof of auto insurance with coverage of $100,000 or more.
  5. Show cultural sensitivity and the ability to respond to the diverse needs of the organization’s community.
  6. Acquire CPR/1st Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification within 30 days of employment (required before starting some positions).
  7. Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
