Non-Clinical Case Manager must focus on achieving and exceeding national medical readiness standards. This professional provides expert non-clinical case management for the Wyoming Army National Guard.

Job Description
- Perform data entry into MHS-Genesis, MODS, MEDCHART, PRT, DenClass, and other WYARNG-specific databases as required to track and manage Soldiers’ medical readiness.
- Scan, file, and track both digital and hard-copy Soldier Treatment Records (STR) ensuring proper documentation management.
- Initiate, document, and follow up on Soldier profiling actions and treatment requirements, ensuring all steps are accurately recorded.
- Log all contacts (email, telephone, or in-person) with Soldiers, their cases, or their unit administrative support into eCase or other relevant systems.
- Initiate, process, and track all medical board cases, including MED, NDR-PEB, and MAR2.
- Attend PHA (Periodic Health Assessment) events as determined by the needs of WYARNG and unit requirements.
- Ensure Soldiers referred by providers for specific medical tests or requirements are tracked and managed according to provider orders.
- Communicate with Soldiers and medical/dental offices to obtain documentation and coordinate treatment plan reviews.
- Support Soldiers in achieving medical readiness (MRC 1 or 2) by tracking appointments, communicating with their unit to ensure attendance, and following up on required documentation.
- Review and track abnormal health assessment lab results, contacting Soldiers and their units to follow up and coordinate further testing when needed.
- Document all actions related to a Soldier’s case in eCase within one business day, including appointment updates, lab results, or other actions.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and policies, such as AR 40-58, AR 40-66, AR 40-400, AR 40-501, AR 40-502, AR 600-8-4, AR 25-50, and WYARNG-specific instructions or SOPs.
- Coordinate care for Soldiers with Line of Duty (LOD) and non-LOD injuries or illnesses to minimize the time they are in a non-deployable status.
- Maintain Soldier medical records in accordance with AR 40-66, HIPAA, and other applicable privacy guidelines, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
- Track and ensure the appropriate MRC status for Soldiers is reflected in the systems, including MEDPROS and eCase.
- Retrieve and prepare Soldier records for medical board packets, pre-deployment readiness events, and case reviews.
- Monitor and track Soldier medical and dental appointments, coordinating with Soldiers and units to ensure timely attendance.
- Validate and manage Soldier treatment plans and STR in eCase, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of care.
- The contractor will be required to work one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday), with service hours ranging from 6 AM to 10:00 PM. The government will provide a 30-day advance schedule for these weekends Periodic Health Assessments (PHAs) at the primary location of Raper Armory in Cheyenne, WY.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field).
- At least 2 years of experience in non-clinical case management, medical record management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure Soldiers’ medical readiness and proper case management.
