Job Summary:
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA certifications/candidate or MBA preferred (not required)
- 3 years of accounting experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in Office 365 (Excel, PowerBi, and SharePoint preferred)
- Experience with SAP, Essbase, and PowerPoint
- Experience with a large company (> $3 billion sales preferred)
Other Skills/Abilities
- Strong Accounting knowledge and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills
- Prioritize and manage projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with all levels of Management
- Committed and enthusiastic approach to delivering solutions to business customers
- An established reputation for integrity
- Hands on experience with process improvement methodologies and project management, preferred
- Ability to foster solid business partnerships with peer management partners across multiple disciplines
- Food Industry experience is a plus
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead the processes responsible for the recognition, allocation, reporting, and analysis of purchasing volume allowances for Foodbuy
- Manage, develop, and motivate direct report. Provide development and growth opportunities while also providing constructive feedback. Lead open two-way communication and assist in understanding how they contribute to the vision of the department and the organization.
- Foster and build relationships with business partners within the Foodbuy and Compass organization
- Ensure accurate and timely presentation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the Group Accounting Manual
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Monthly accounting close activities, including but not limited to: journal entries, monthly accruals, invoice processing, A/R review/clean-up.
- Analyze client contracts for proper accounting treatment and financial impact.
- Accurate and timely production of customer/unit level reporting for purchasing income
- Provide standard and adhoc reporting for internal and external customers (e.g. financial packages)
- Drive transformational process automation and improvements by partnering with Management in Accounting, Finance and Business. Understand and anticipate the business needs to support growth.
- Understand, implement, and adhere to proper accounting controls and KFCs.
