You will collaborate closely with psychiatrists to manage and administer medications, ensuring comprehensive treatment and support services for individuals receiving Assertive Community Treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and the treatment team to formulate, implement, and adjust treatment goals and plans.
- Organize and oversee the distribution and administration of medications as dictated by individual treatment plans.
- Educate and empower clients regarding medications, mental health conditions, and co-occurring health issues.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ psychiatric history, mental status, and overall health.
- Participate in daily organizational meetings and weekly supervision to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Complete all documentation in compliance with agency policies, including assessments and progress notes.
- Provide on-call crisis intervention and support during evenings, weekends, and overnight hours.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments as necessary to facilitate understanding of their health conditions.
- Consult with the ACT team regarding client health and medication management.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines in medication storage and administration.
- Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing and mental health care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in medication management and administration.
- Skills in conducting thorough assessments of client needs.
- Flexibility to respond to crisis situations effectively.
- Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
- Active RN licensure in Missouri.
- Experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting is essential.
