Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluate physical health needs.
- Collaborate with clients and treatment teams to create, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
- Administer and manage medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist, ensuring integration with treatment goals.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families about medications and mental health conditions.
- Participate in comprehensive assessments covering mental health history, physical health, and daily functioning.
- Attend and contribute to daily staff meetings and treatment planning discussions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency policy, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Offer on-call crisis intervention and accompany clients to medical appointments as needed.
- Strong expertise in psychiatric assessments and treatment planning.
- Proficient in medication management and administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments with attention to detail.
- Crisis intervention skills to support clients during emergencies.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- Experience in a psychiatric setting, either inpatient or outpatient, is essential.
- Current RN licensure in Missouri is mandatory.
