Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including health assessments, pain evaluations, and vital sign monitoring.
• Administer medications accurately, including medication passes, injections, and overseeing self-administration processes.
• Maintain and update Medication Administration Records (MAR) and manage controlled substances effectively.
• Provide education to patients regarding their physical health and medications.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including staff, families, physicians, and pharmacies, to ensure coordinated care.
• Document and report observable changes in patients' behavior and physical condition.
• Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures alongside staff members.
• Engage in team and leadership meetings as required.
• Provide direct care to adult patients, managing challenging situations with professionalism.
• Participate in mandatory overtime as necessary.

• Proficient in patient and family education regarding health and medication management.
• Experienced in medication management and controlled substance protocols.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of psychiatric nursing experience is required; experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
• Valid LPN or RN designation in Missouri is essential.
