Crisis Center Nurse - LPN/RN Weekend Shifts

Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Compass Health Network as a Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, where you will provide essential patient care in a psychiatric setting. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on individuals experiencing behavioral crises while maintaining high standards of Professional Nursing Practice. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that coordinates comprehensive care and support to those in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care including health assessments, pain assessments, vital signs monitoring, and general daily care of individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Administer medications, manage medication records, and oversee self-administration of medications by patients.
• Provide patient and family education about physical health and medication management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other entities to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Document observable changes in patient behavior, attitude, and physical condition.
• Support staff during diagnostic and treatment procedures and participate in educational initiatives for new employees.
• Attend mandatory team and leadership meetings as required.
• Engage in mandatory overtime as needed, providing care to adults in various states of distress.
  
  

Required Skills

• Exceptional verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
• Strong cognitive, organizational, and emotional abilities to effectively manage multiple stressors and deadlines.
• Experience in providing direct patient care to adults, particularly those who may exhibit agitation.
• Keen observational skills for reporting changes in patient condition and behavior.
  
  

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience, with hospital or acute care experience preferred.
• Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri is essential.
