You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that coordinates comprehensive care and support to those in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care including health assessments, pain assessments, vital signs monitoring, and general daily care of individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
- Administer medications, manage medication records, and oversee self-administration of medications by patients.
- Provide patient and family education about physical health and medication management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other entities to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document observable changes in patient behavior, attitude, and physical condition.
- Support staff during diagnostic and treatment procedures and participate in educational initiatives for new employees.
- Attend mandatory team and leadership meetings as required.
- Engage in mandatory overtime as needed, providing care to adults in various states of distress.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
- Strong cognitive, organizational, and emotional abilities to effectively manage multiple stressors and deadlines.
- Experience in providing direct patient care to adults, particularly those who may exhibit agitation.
- Keen observational skills for reporting changes in patient condition and behavior.
- An Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience, with hospital or acute care experience preferred.
- Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri is essential.
