Join Compass Health Network as a Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN, where you will play a vital role in delivering quality, compassionate care to the communities we serve. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; gather histories and vital signs, and document in patient charts.
- Set up examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Conduct venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other procedures as directed.
- Administer immunizations and other injections.
- Provide patient education and guidance.
- Maintain patient files and records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Adhere to standard precautions and follow CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- Assist in preparing for minor surgeries and physical assessments.
- Support the scheduling of tests and treatments as needed.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment cleanliness.
- Attend all required training sessions to enhance your skills.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to meet clinic needs.
- Strong understanding of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Practical Nursing certificate required for Nurse LPN applicants.
- Medical Assistant Certification or LPN/GPN that must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience is required if a medical assistant certification is not obtained, along with preferred medical office experience.
